What is Despicable Person about?
Despicable Person (Mangjong) (망종(亡種)) is a BL novel by Gyeja (계자). While pursuing a criminal case, Detective Kim Ieum of the Violent Crimes Unit discovers a man collapsed on a mountain trail with amnesia who believes himself to be a child. With no fingerprints, DNA records, or identification, Ieum takes the mysterious man home and names him "Youngsik."
Initially gentle and docile despite his cold appearance, Youngsik seems content living with Ieum. But one day, alone at home, he examines Ieum's family photos with a suspicious expression — his memory has returned. Youngsik is actually Choi Wonjun, a ruthless construction company CEO who will do anything to get what he wants. A dark, psychological story of manipulation, obsession, and a detective caught in a dangerous web.
