Auto-Translate Entire Novels! (Beta) 📚 ✨

The feature you've all been waiting for is finally here… AUTO-TRANSLATE is now in beta on OpenNovel! 🎉
How it works:
1. Select the parts you want auto-translated
2. Generate a glossary in advance - we'll generate a glossary for all your selected chapters before translation so you can review and tweak characters and terms first.
3. Translation will run in the background while you sleep.
4. Export the entire novel as an ePub to read offline on your favorite app/eReader 📖 You can also read it from the OpenNovel website if you'd like.
👉 Try it out by going to a novel and clicking 'Auto-Translate'! We've given all Hobby and Bookworm users 50 ePub credits as a one-time bonus.
Important Notes:
📥 We've merged auto-translate with ePub credits - to use auto-translate, please go to the store to purchase ePub credits (1 credit = 1 part).
✨ Bookworm users now get 1000 epub credits per month (starting next billing cycle)
🛒 Hobby users can now purchase ePub credits from the store!
🖼️ Epubs will now preserve formatting (headers, bolds etc.). They will also include online images - note that only certain epub readers support this and it will require an internet connection.

Get more term consistency in cultivation novels! Go to the glossary and import the new Cultivation Glossary Pack (with 500+ terms and titles). If you have any further corrections you'd like us to make to the glossary, please comment in this sheet.
Images and Author Notes in Novelpia novels
We preserve the inline images in your Novelpia novels.
Bulk Import support for Kakao novels
You can now bulk import Kakao novels for even more convenience. How to use: click the arrows on the TOC page until all the chapters you want to import are visible, and then run the extension > import into OpenNovel. You can use the official Chrome Store extension for this.
Pre-generate Glossary Before Translating and Other Improvements

✨ Auto-generate characters or terms before every chapter gets translated
To activate the auto-generate feature, go to the glossary page and click on the settings icon, then enable the toggle to detect before translating.
- If you enable this, you'll be able to make edits to the detected characters and terms before translating the chapter.
- We recommend not stuffing too many common nouns (e.g. car, apple) into the glossary as this may affect quality.
Other Glossary Updates:
- You can now choose to generate either characters, terms or both.
- You can now search for glossary terms.
- Added buttons to jump straight to the characters, terms or titles section.
New Experimental Chinese Boosted AI Model Launched, and the Previous Boosted AI Model is Now the Default

1. The previous Chinese Boosted Translation AI Model is now the default for all users, replacing the previous Standard AI model. This represents a significant upgrade in translation quality and accuracy.
2. We have released a new experimental Chinese Boosted AI model and we're working on further exciting updates to it, hang tight 😉 🤫

Spanish Translation is available in Beta

We're excited to announce that OpenNovel now translates to Spanish! This feature is currently in beta as we continue refining it.
To translate your novels into Spanish, go to your user profile > Language and select Español (Spanish). Only new novels will be translated into Spanish, while chapters added to existing novels will continue to be translated to English.

Introducing OpenNovel V2: URL Translations and Updated Models

🤖 Model Updates
We've upgraded the Korean and Japanese Standard Model and the Chinese Boosted Model! 🥳 As with any new update, there may be early bugs we need to iron out, so please feedback/report them to us on Discord.
Note: if you regenerate a translation, it will still use the previous model version. To use the new model, you'll need to translate a new chapter.
⚡ Faster and smoother website
The website is now much snappier, with a more intuitive chapter list design.
🔗 URL Translator
In response to the overwhelming number of new website requests, we have launched a URL Translator which lets you translate most websites using OpenNovel.
Copy and paste URL to translate
Click "Add Translation", copy a chapter URL, and paste it into the URL translator to start translating.
Note: The URL translator may not work on certain websites; you will need to use the OpenNovel extension for websites with a higher level of protection: see this list.
Auto-fetch next chapter
Hobby and Bookworm users can also auto-fetch the next chapter, without needing to manually copy and paste the url again. This has the same effect as a bulk import flow, where you can just click next to fetch and translate the next chapter.
✏️ Edit Novel & Chapter Names
You can now edit the novel and chapter names as you wish. The feature to move chapters around is coming soon.
